Thailand is celebrating its shopping extravaganza, The Grand Sale of 2006, which also commemorates the 60th anniversary celebrations of King Bhumibol Adulyadej's accession to the throne. Sri Lankan Airlines' leisure arm, Sri Lankan Holidays, has announced special fares to Thailand for a "limited period" to coincide with the sale.
Guests flying Sri Lankan Airlines to Thailand from Bangalore will get a return ticket for two for Rs. 42,500, which is 20 per cent less than the regular fare. The package is inclusive of the four night-five-day stay at elite hotels in Bangkok and Pattaya, sightseeing and transfers from the airport to the hotel.
The package also offers a tour to Coral Island with local lunch on seat in coach basis, half-day city tour, visit to the Golden Buddha Temple, the Marble Temple and an experience at the Gems Gallery.
