Trend-O-Meter

Designer Nikasha on the turns fashion takes this season

FOR WOMEN

The styles veer towards vibrancy this season. Knee-length skirts, wrap-around tunics with different hemlines and interesting necklines, shrugs, capris and trousers are in. Another attire that's really big is the dress. The prints are appealing and the clothes are subtly embellished with a hint of sparkle. Easy, flowing silhouettes and asymmetrical cuts are in vogue. Adding to the relaxed feel are colours like pink and turquoise.

FOR MEN

It's undoubtedly a throwback to the 1960s. Straight kurtas teamed with tapered or fitted trousers will definitely make a style statement. The look is understated and relaxed. White and salmon pink are hot for men this season. When it comes to accessories, go easy. But that doesn't mean you should remove that classic burgundy belt from your wardrobe. It's one accessory that never gets dated. The look in a nutshell: simple, yet stylish.
