Anyone interested in crystals?

Swarovski's flavours of the season are crystals for Feng Shui and fashion

MAGICAL New offerings

If their clutches and brooches are to be `seen with' in Cannes and Oscars, the home décor pieces are gaining ground for Feng Shui value and `feel good' factor. Swarovski, the Austrian cut crystal major, has not stopped churning new lines and ideas since Daniel Swarovski decided to move to Tyrol to establish the crystal industry about 111 years ago. Five generations later and with a new creative designer Nathalie Colin on board, on offer this season are a plethora of fashion jewellery and home décor pieces in newer cuts, colours and finishes.

"Crystal pearls and matte crystals are the new offerings," says Shiv Kumar, country manager, consumer goods division, Swarovski, throwing light on the Fall/Winter 2006 Collection that was unveiled in Shanghai recently. The party collection of accessories, clothes and macaw, leaves crystal peridot vases in the home jewel collection will follow the current Lovlots in stores here.

Dynamic, vibrant and light-hearted, Lovlots features nine figurines from the brand's silver crystal range. The figurines with an attitude— quirky eccentricity, funky and sometimes outrageous, promise to form a bond with the owner. Much like the swan, the brand's logo, the lines continue to charm with the grace, opulence and poise. For now have a dekko at the Lovlots till the prêt a porter, diffusion and signature lines inspired by Asia arrive in stores next.
