Superman (Brandon Routh) returns to take on the bad men of Krypton, in yet another edge of the seat thriller directed by Byran Singer of X-Men fame.

Coinciding with the screening is a compilation befitting the `man of steel' and his adventures. Find here covers and original numbers on themes of heroism and more. Garage rockers The Clique's track revived by R.E.M, the Sun's dance floor version of The Kinks number and rookie rockers Royal cut a dark version of XTC's psychedelic side project Dukes of Stratosphear. Find covers of more recent vintage as also celebrated Boston quintet who take on the Stereophonics' Superman. Brandon Routh's sister Sara Routh adds riffs to album with a soulful original rocker. Maxeen, American Hi-Fi and more original covers make the album worth a dekko.

The Canadian artist strikes the chord with current events through his song writing again. If Let's Roll from 2002 was a tribute to the passengers who died taking down the hijackers on United Flight 93 over Pennsylvania on September 11, Ohio, was written and recorded with Crosby, Stills and Nash after four students were killed during a peace rally at Kent State University. The current album is " about unification. It's about getting a message out. It's about empowering people by giving them a voice. I know not everyone believes what I say is what they think, but red and blue is not black and white. We're all together," says Young. Lend an ear for some pipes of peace.

The band has come a long way from punk-influenced trio to being a platinum-selling act. Recently their number was adopted by CNN as an anthem for the recovery efforts following Hurricane Katrina.

For their eighth studio the Dolls spent a long cold winter writing and recording material in hometown Buffalo, only to return on the charts with a bounce.
