Landing Stage is a youth-run theatre group in Chennai and provides a platform for those who are neither eligible for children's theatre groups nor for mainstream participation in artistic activities. It provides one with the leeway to explore one's creative instincts. The areas of specialisation here range from learning the management operations of the theatre process and designing sets to learning lighting essentials, music engineering and acoustic management. If you are a writer, Landing Stage gets the group to read your work or stage it in workshops. It produces two theatre performances a year one consequent to its Summer Workshop (Pushing Boundaries) and, the other, which is a pre-Christmas production, mainly targeted at children.
