If you are a talented hairdresser with a flair for colour and style, this one is for you

L'Orιal Professionnel, the pioneer of the hairdressing industry has announced the Colour Trophy 2006, its glamorous hairdressing event to be held for the second time in India.

This is a nationwide quest to find the most creative and talented professionals in India. The grand finale, on September 27 in Mumbai, promises to be an event with a riot of colourful, stylish and creative hairdos.

The first phase of this competition kick-started with hundreds of photo entries from hairdressers across India.

The entries from each zone (North, South, East and West) were then selected by an international panel of judges to shortlist nominations for the Regional Finals to be held on July 28 in Bangalore, August 5 in Kolkata, August 11 in Delhi and August 16 in Mumbai.

The regional finalists will then compete in the grand finale where a total of seven teams will walk away with the titles of — three winners for the L'Oreal Professional Colour Trophy, two winners for the Men's Image Award, two winners for the New Generation Young Hairdresser Colourist Award.

The winner gets a chance to go to the U.K. for training at a top academy, an exclusive seat at the UK Colour Trophy 2007, along with a chance to work with the top fashion magazines, besides intensive training. The winner also becomes the judge for next year's regional rounds.
