Jackpot creates history

The knowledge-based game show, "Jackpot", anchored by Kushboo on Jaya TV, has created history by completing 200 episodes in four years. Thanks to the fun show, the actress has become a household name, especially in rural Tamil Nadu, where her designer blouses and Kanchipuram saris are topics for discussion.

The USP of the show is Kushboo's inimitable style, her friendly deportment and her distinct style of speaking Tamil. Little wonder that "Jackpot" won the prestigious RAPA Award for the best game show in regional languages. Says Kushboo: "I try my best to make the show a friendly interaction between the participants. The success of the show was mainly because of team effort, and I have to thank Telly Zoom, the producers, the sponsors and of course, Srinivas, who has designed my blouses." For the 200th episode, which deviated from the usual format, small screen heroes and heroines participated.
