The famous five

`Musiq Dreamz' plans to release their album of Malayalam songs

FOR HUMANITY The group from `Musiq Dreamz' has a song dedicated to orphans

Bands, singing troupes and albums are gaining acceptance like never before in Kerala. New genres are being successfully experimented by desis. And song-based television shows are on a roll.

One such programme features five talented youngsters who have given their hearts to music.

Brand of music

Asianet Plus's `Musiq Dreamz,' an hour-long music programme, is hosted by Manoj Krishnan, Pradeep Babu, Kishore Varma, Samad and Ansar. The five singers have enthralled viewers with their brand of music on Friday nights at 9.30 p.m.

The band gelled together four years ago when they hosted a music programme called `Ilayanila' on Jeevan TV. Over the years they have done several stage shows. Manoj, who sees a bright future for Malayalam song albums, says he has high hopes for their album that is yet to be released.

This untitled album, which consists of eight Malayalam numbers, will be out in two months. Having composed the music for the album, Manoj feels the numbers will go down well with the listeners.

A blend of melody, the modern and melancholy, the group hopes to spread the message of humanity through their music. In fact, one of the songs is dedicated to orphans.

The team has composed jingles for commercials. They are keeping their fingers crossed for their season-wise album releases.
