`Pirates of the Caribbean' delayed

The movie will release in Hyderabad on July 28

After Da Vinci Code, the release of yet another big budget Hollywood film is being delayed in Hyderabad. This time, it's the turn of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest.

Originally slated to release here on July 21 alongside the nationwide opening, this film's release has been delayed by a week. Reason? "Since Da Vinci Code is releasing shortly in Hyderabad, we don't want it to clash with Pirates... , which is also being distributed by us. So Pirates... will release on July 28," says Arindom Basu of Sony Pictures. Pirates..., produced by Walt Disney, opened in the US on July 7 and garnered $132 million in its first three days.

The film marks the return of the cast and crew of the Curse of the Black Pearl — Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, Keira Knightley, director Gore Verbinski, and producer Jerry Bruckheimer.
