Direct from Dubai!

Music is in the air, and everywhere. No barrier can stop good music. That's what two new singers from Dubai are trying to prove.

In the rapidly growing Indian music industry, North India-based Kuber Group has launched the first album tiled Habibi with two new singers, Santosh and Jyotsana. The album was released in New Delhi under the banner of Kuber Music the other day. Veteran santoor exponent Pandit Bhajan Sopori did the honours.

The husband and wife team of Santosh and Jyotsana is known to have already made a remarkable presence on Dubai stage shows. They are now well known names there. But they have come back to India, their native place, for the release of the first album. They promise to give euphonic songs through this venture. They seem quite confident about the success of their album due to "lively music" in it. "Music scored in this album is the fusion of Arabic and Afghani music. It also has a rare combo of Pahadi and Punjabi music. We have tried to give our listeners new and refreshing romantic songs through our album," say the singer duo. Like other aspiring singers, this duo too wants to try its luck in the Hindi film industry. The list of their preferred names includes M.M. Kreem and Ismail Darbar.

Though Rakesh Bothra, President Kuber Music promises to "promote good music in the market", only time will reveal their definition of good music!
