THE BIG SURPRISE

MTV's new show "Ishq Deewane" unravels the real world of celebrity couples and introduces audiences to those things that keep them together. The programme, telecast on Saturday, 7.30 p.m., has three segments — meeting the couple, setting up the task and the big surprise. The episode last week featured TV actor Manish Goel, who had met his wife Poonam Narula on the sets of a serial. After four years of being married, he decided to surprise her on her birthday. Says Asish Patel who heads MTV's creative and content: "With shows such as `Loveline' and `Love Keliye', the channel has already been dubbed `a love guru'. Now, we are taking it to another level. The show has become a hit with young couples who are now trying out to surprise one another to spice up their marriage."
