BECKHAM SCORES AGAIN!

At Buckingham Palace, which recently played host to the world's glitterati, Harley-Davidson's multiple award-winning motorcycle, the VRSCA V-Rod was the showstopper. The V-Rod is Harley-Davidson's flagship performance cruiser with over 30 major design awards worldwide. This one-off version, painted in British colours and signed by every player in England's World Cup squad attending Beckham's party, was a feature of the charity auction to raise money for the UNICEF.

As standard, the V-Rod costs £11,995 (Rs 10,19,000) on the road. However, Beckham's fellow international star, Rio Ferdinand, bid £65,000 (Rs 55,19,000) - a whopping four times more than the retail value! This V-Rod special, supplied by Harley-Davidson just to support Beckham's charity, is styled with the flag of St George. In total, over £2 million was raised for UNICEF at Beckham's get-together. Bend it again, we say!

LICENSED TO DRIVE!

Now, some good news for kids who've been desperate to drive, but couldn't reach the pedals. Thanks to a tie-up between carmaker Peugeot and Alton Towers, an award-winning theme park in Staffordshire, England, children under 10 years old will get a chance to drive cars around. The Peugeot 207 Driving School is all set to open sometime this month and will enable young drivers to experience modern driving in miniature electric versions of the brand new Peugeot 207.

The young drivers will not only be able to choose their own routes, they'll also experience first-hand everyday obstacles such as traffic lights, roundabouts and crossroads. For added fun, they can also take their cars for a bubble-blasting car wash, stop for the lollipop lady and watch out for gigantic hedgehogs rambling over the zebra crossing.

However, the best has been saved for the last. Budding racing drivers can also test their skills in a special section - the ultimate slalom challenge. In case you're wondering about a driving licence, Alton Towers will issue its own!
