Fashionably fit

Load your shopping cart with fitness clothes that suit your wallet

TREND MILL Pick up clothes that fit well and offer easy movement

If you've been tumbling out of bed, putting on your jogging shoes and beginning your fitness routine in your sleep-ins, maybe you need to spend some time shopping. Who cares when you walk down the road at the crack of dawn? Right? Wrong. Fitness is about feeling good and looking good. So, even if you don't splurge on branded wear, make an effort to spend a few hundreds on good fitness clothes.

Cool cottons

First and foremost, pick up cottons that fit you comfortably and allow you to breathe. If you are following an outdoor walking/jogging/running routine, you will need a pair of good shoes, track pants and t-shirts. As far as shoes go, settle for nothing but the best. Bad shoes invariably leave you nursing a sore foot. You will find a wide choice of cotton t-shirts and track pants in shops that dot M.G. Road, the S.D. Road stretch leading up to Parklane, the factory outlets at S.D. Road, Trimulgherry. The t-shirts are priced anywhere between Rs.50 and 400. The Rs.50-100 range doesn't guarantee for much durability though. As for track pants, you will get them for Rs. 200 to 400 in stores on M.G. Road and General Bazaar. Swimmers can also check out trendy swimsuits, goggles and caps in this area. The caps are priced Rs.100 upwards while the swimsuits will cost you upwards of Rs.400.

Unassuming sports stores in this area are worth a visit to buy skipping ropes or a pair of dumbbells. The prices begin at Rs.100. Elsewhere in town, areas near Abids and Badichowdi also stock similar fitness clothes. Scout for a while before make your choice. If you are lucky enough, you will find trendier clothes in shades other than the usual range of blues, reds and black. If you don't mind loosening your purse strings a bit more, do check out the branded wear in the malls. Those who have taken to the yoga routine must remember to buy t-shirts, tracks and tights in cotton stretch fabric that allows for flexibility. If the tees are long enough and fit you well, you don't need to worry while doing those upside down asanas. For yoga mats and other accessories, try the smaller stores on Parklane and M.G. Road or the upscale shops like Urban Yoga.
