Known for idli-sambar

The article "What symbolises Chennai" (July 4) was interesting. In this context, I wish to add that Chennai is also popular for idli-sambar and curd vadai. Chennai-ites cannot think of a breakfast without hot idli and sambar rounded off with a cup of hot coffee. They also cannot think of completing a meal without curd rice, which serves as a soothing finale. Curd vadai and curd bonda are also popular in this part of the country.
