Rainbow of hope

Colour therapist and pranic healer Rochie Rana comes up with her debut book, "30 Rays of Hope"

`If only I could help man get rid of stress and agony,' exclaimed Rochie Rana as she presented her debut book "30 Rays of Hope" at Oxford Bookstore this past week. She claims the book is inspired by her own insight into spirituality.

Young Rochie is a professional colour therapist and pranic healer. "Two years ago, when I started practising colour therapy, I felt attracted towards spiritual values and meditation. Colour, having the power of curing psychological ailments, gave me immense courage to combine my knowledge of colours with spirituality. I took to meditation to understand its power. I decided to put it on paper so others could know about their stressful behaviour and benefit from the remedies I have suggested in my book," revealed the vivacious author.

At a time when people live under constant work pressure, one hardly finds time for meditation or de-stressing exercises. "30 Rays of Hope" deals with various aspects of complications in daily life. It tries to sort out problems that cause mental and physical disorders.

"The book is very simply written and easy to understand. It's divided into three sections containing descriptions of mental and physical ailments followed by their remedies. The exercises are easy and can be done at home, office or anywhere. The last portion is, however, a compilation of effective prayers picked up from different religions to purify the soul."

Yoga demonstration

Present on the occasion was R. Venugopalan, an alternative medicine and yoga expert. He gave a demonstration of yoga asanas. He praised Rochie's work by calling it, "A complete guide for living life healthily."

He pointed out, "It gives easy-to-understand advice on problems related to health and psychology."
