Taste of Mangalore

A Mangalore food fest is on at The Rain Tree

Tickle your tastebuds with Mangalore fare at a food festival on at Rainbow restaurant at Hotel The Rain Tree, Alwarpet, till July 30. Apart from the elaborate buffet spread that the restaurant is known for, diners can choose from Mangalore dishes such as kori roti, mutton sukka, etti sukka, marvai sukka, neeli marvai sukka and kezhanga rava fry in the non-vegetarian section and kadle mondi sukka, soya bean puli munchi, batani gasi, kukkudha gojju, pineapple puli munchi, thekkare thalli, dambuda dasemi, battate song and yam kismari in the vegetarian section. All these to give you a taste of authentic Mangalore cuisine.

Stewards in veshti-kurta and Konkani music in the background add to the Mangalore ambience. The festival is open for dinner from 7.30 p.m. to 10.30 p.m. The fare is priced at Rs. 499. For reservation, call 4225 2525.
