PETA

PETA India operates under the simple principle that animals are not ours to eat, wear, experiment on or use for entertainment, while educating policymakers and the public about animal abuse and promoting an understanding of the right of all animals to be treated with respect.

This site gives info about PETA India's investigative work, public education efforts, research, animal rescues, legislative celebrity involvement and national media coverage.

Nature Watch

Naturewatch is a non-profit animal welfare campaigning organisation. It aims to promote the prevention of cruelty to animals and to support the dissemination of information concerning animals among people to educate them in furtherance of animal welfare.

Some of their major campaigns are against animal experiments, badger baiting and live transport of animals across boundaries.

Fight against Animal Cruelty

FAACE is an organisation that campaigns against the torture and death of animals for entertainment. The activities of FAACE are not confined to national borders of the U.K. where it is based and operates from, but are extended globally to combat cruelty to animals. It focusses on campaigning against bullfighting, blood fiestas and other forms of cruelty to the mute beings.

Blue Cross

The Blue Cross of India was established in 1959 and registered as a society under the Societies Registration Act in 1964 to alleviate the suffering of animals. It has grown from small beginnings to become one of India's largest animal welfare organisation, running active animal welfare, animal rights and humane education programmes. Blue Cross works towards improving the standards of treating and dealing with animals in India.

Global Animal Protection

WSPA, with its aim to promote the protection of animals, prevent cruelty to animals and relieve animal suffering in every part of the world, works with more than 660 member organisations in over 140 countries to raise the standards of animal welfare throughout the world. It has a strong worldwide network and has 38 associate member organisations and societies in India.
