Are Weddings becoming extravagant?

Waste of money

Earlier, the celebration was a means to announce to the world about the marriage. With legal recognition now, a large-scale celebration is not at all necessary. If the bride and groom and their families wish to follow the customary rituals, they can do it as a small private affair. This way they can avoid unnecessary expenditure, wastage and mental and physical strain. I did so at my wedding.
