Are Weddings becoming extravagant?

Subjective term

What is extravagance? It is related to abundance and wastefulness. But what is the yardstick that will decide the extent of extravagance? It is the individual's capacity to spend. As long as a person has the affordability and willingness to spend, the question of extravagance does not arise.

One or two children families being the norm today, parents are keen to make their children's wedding a well-attended social gathering. It's an occasion to be remembered and cherished. I have attended several north Indian weddings; the arrangements and the participation of the young and the old are something to be experienced. In the name of simplicity, we cannot deny ourselves the pleasures of life.
