Jamun leaves and burns

In the article The tangy berry by Jacob Varghese (July 13, 2006) what has been missed is that the leaves of the jamun tree have remarkable properties of healing even third degree burns.

Washed leaves should be lightly heated on an open flame or live cinders till the external moisture is evaporated and then placed on the burns. This immediately relieves pain. Three or four days of this treatment will result in the burns healing.

This is my personal experience.
