Recipe of the week

Soya Nuggets Cutlets

Ingredients

Soyabean nuggets: 100gm
Medium sized potatoes: 3
Green chillies: 2
Ginger, 2-inch piece: 1
Garlic: 3 or 4 cloves as per taste
Garam masala: 1/4 tsp
Sunflower oil: 250gm
Water: 3 cups
Breadcrumbs
Salt to taste
For garnish:

Onion cut into rings
Coriander leaves, chopped: 1 sprig

Method: Boil water and put the soya beans nuggets (balls) in the water and keep aside for 15 minutes and wash the same in cold water. Drain water and mash well the soya balls using a mixer. Boil the potatoes, peel and mash them. Cut the green chillies into small pieces. Grate ginger and garlic. Mix the mashed Soya beans nuggets, potatoes, green chillies, grated ginger and garlic with the bread crumbs and 1/2 tea spoon salt (or salt to your taste). Using the palm, make the mixture in the shape of cutlets, deep fry in oil till golden brown and garnish with coriander leaves and onion rings. Serve with tomato ketchup.

Note: Soya beans are good protein reserves. The sunflower oil and garlic are good for the heart.
