My Kind of Place -- KABIR BEDI

What a getaway!

Fun, food, fashion and full of life, that's Los Angeles. There can never be a dull moment. There's a wholesome treat awaiting every tourist who steps into this gorgeous city. Being the leading producer of popular entertainment, the city has a global presence. I lived in LA for 12 years. So I know the city in and out. Mention holiday and I still prefer to take the first flight to this hip and happening destination.

Do what you want

Luxurious spas, pubs, world class eat outs (particularly in St. Monica) and shopping plazas... just freak out with friends and family. I have tasted the most exotic variety of food at the restaurants here. It's a pleasure to shop in the spacious stores that stock an amazing variety and the best part is that I get clothes of my size easily. If you are a music buff, just go to any of the "Hear Music" booths, plug in and choose from the well-catalogued songs.

Sit back and relax

If you don't intend packing your vacation with too much action, Los Angeles is also about mountains and seas. Just get behind the steering and drive at your own pace to nowhere. When my children were young, they loved to spend their vacations in LA. My granddaughter Aaliya was born here.

Longing to make a trip

I have been to the usual holidays destinations round the world, such as Maldives, Mauritius, London, Rome... but my heart beats only for LA. Last year while shooting for "The bold and the beautiful" I got to spend some time in this favourite city of mine. But working holidays are not exciting.
