A family drama

"Ammathamburatti" (Monday to Friday, 9.30 p.m.) on Asianet is a family drama that has caught the attention of the viewers in Kerala because of its star cast and presentation.

Directed by the veteran Sreekumaran Thampi, the serial has Sreevidya, Sukumari, Sreeja Chandran and Venu Nagavally in the lead.

The story is about Laksmi Bai Thampuratti (Sreevidya) of a royal family, who elopes with her lover to Baroda and returns to her palace after 20 years. She faces problems from youngsters in the family, who have usurped her wealth and the story is about the family infighting.
