Sing along with the starcrooners

Actors seem to have taken to singing with a vengeance. Take a look...

VOICING IT Shah Rukh Khan is singing a song in `Don'

We don't know if this is a case of moonlighting or doing it for pure fun. A look at some Bollywood actors who are exercising their vocal chords.

Shah Rukh Khan:

He has sung previously for the film Josh. Now, he has just finished singing the new version of Kaike Paan Banaras Waala for Farhan Akhtar's Don. SRK has gone by the diktats of Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy.

Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi:

Munnabhai and Circuit have crooned together for the sequel of Munnabhai titled Lage Raho Munnabhai. Catch them on television liven up the screens with the song Samjo Ho Hi Gaya, composed by Shantanu Moitra.

Gracy Singh:

The actress seemed to have disappeared into the oblivion after Lagaan, Munnabhai MBBS and Gangaajal. She's resurfaced to act and sing for the film Chanchal.

Meera:

This self-proclaimed Aishwarya Rai of Pakistan will be seen in Pakistan's version of Devdas.

While attempting to be at par with Ash, she will also be singing for the film.

Akshay Kumar:

No, he isn't singing for one of his new films. But alongside launching his own website, he's sung a song for the Punjabi album Nirgun Lakh Liya and dedicated to the Mumbai blast victims.

Akshay Khanna:

He's in the reckoning post 36 China Town. For his next film Aap Ki Khatir, which has music by Himmesh Reshammiya, he's recorded a nazm.

Reportedly, the nazm bear a resemblance to the all time hit Kabhi Kabhi.

Will they make the cut?

We are sure there will be new additions to this list of actors giving a shot at playback singing, there will be actors who will take a chance with the mike and take a plunge into the world of rhythm and rhyme.

While the actors take the acid test, let's wait to see if anyone belts out hit numbers like Aamir Khan in Ghulam or Abhishek Bachchan in Bluffmaster and pull it off like these adventurous actors.
