Sanjaya Baru's book "Strategic Consequences of India's Economic Performance", published by Academic Foundation, was released recently at an impressive function in New Delhi. Luminaries of the government, bureaucracy and media attended the event. Shiela Dikshit, the Chief Minister of Delhi, M.K. Narayanan, National Security Advisor, PMO, Amit Mitra, Secretary General FICCI, were some of the people in attendance.

The Media Advisor to the Prime Minister is out with a book that scrutinises the consequences of India's economic performance. In this collection of academic essays and newspaper columns, Dr. Baru explores the business of diplomacy and the diplomacy of business in a rising India. The book offers a complete view of the geopolitics and the geo-economics of India's recent rise as a free market democracy.

N.R.
