Be a healer!

THE GURU Grandmaster Chaos Kook Sui

Many of our ancient texts have supported the existence of a soul within us, which after disintegration of the body, ascends to unite with the Almighty. But do you know that your body has another double - an `invisible' energy-body called the `etheric body' or the `aura'?

At least this is what the Pranic Healing Foundation, advocating `a scientifically-proven pranic healing technique', would like us to believe.

An energy-healing technique said to be practiced for centuries, according to the Foundation, it is based on the fundamental principle of the body as a `self-repairing' entity, which utilises `prana' or life energy from its surroundings to heal itself.

Most healers in ancient times were extremely powerful, high level individuals. It is even claimed there are instances even in the Bible that suggest that Jesus could have been a pranic healer!

The concept has been revived and simplified by Grandmaster Chaos Kook Sui, the guru of modern pranic healing and archaic yoga. His disciple, Acharya Danny Gorgonia, is the driving force behind the Foundation in Asia. "We (pranic healers) have an elaborate procedure of cleansing the aura and then projecting the prana into it," the Acharya explains.

Waving his hands around the patients and then "throwing the dirty energy" into a tub of salt and water to cleanse the `aura', the Acharya's actions almost give a feeling of a psychological therapy, but he strongly refutes it.

"We have conducted experiments on infants where the `mind' cannot come into the picture and these have shown positive results," he says. The healing is based solely on the receptivity levels of the patient. "Not only does the pain disappear, but there is actual visible reduction in the ailing area," he says. Pranic healing can be applied to common ailments as well as to repair broken bones, he claims.

Courses on Pranic healing

Anyone over the age of 16 can practice pranic healing, taught by the Foundation in 16 hours spread over two days. However, to practice pranic healing on others, one must do the course six times over. A major portion of the technique deals with human chakras, says the Acharya.

But it does not deal with ailments alone. To remove wrinkles on the face, the Foundation has the option of `pranic facelifts' and `pranic body sculpting'.

Healing can also be performed at a distance, but the results vary according to the quality of the energy surrounding the healer and the healed.

"The earth has an aura of its own. Pranic healing passes through it with the speed of thought. A scientific experiment conducted in the U.S. also proves this," he explains. Based on the sole principle that prevention is better than cure, it complements modern medicine rather than offering an alternative to it.
