A cultural melting pot

Sangamam, the confluence of cultures, is back
|
Bharath Dharshan, the annual cultural meet of Sangamam, will be held on August 15 at Nani Kalaiarangam, Mani Higher Secondary School, at 6 p.m.
The participating sangams, including the Coimbatore Malayali Samajam, Coimbatore Sindhi Panchayat Association and The Bengali Association, will present myriad dance and music forms.
This year's theme is environment.
Learning club
Vidhya Varidhi Play School, Race Course, has inaugurated a students' learning club to initiate the reading habit in children.
The exercise will include creative writing and drama.
Field trips, circle time and guest visitors are also part of the activities of the club.
Children between 7 and 16 can enrol.
Club members will meet every second Saturday from 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.
The fee is Rs. 1,750.
