Dining for a cause

A meal that can go on to enhance the lives of the underprivileged

This is a dinner with a difference. Instead of starched waiters, sprightly grandmothers, aunties, uncles and kids get together to make your meal memorable.

All this, as part of a charity dinner to raise funds for the charities run by the Shiva Shanta Mother and Child Care Centre, the free hospital run by the Shivanjali Trust.

More than five lakh people have so far been treated by this charity.

Services include free immunisation and provision of milk and multi-vitamins for children.

The dinner will be held on August 15 at 7 p.m. at Annalakshmi Restaurant on Race Course, part of the Shivanjali Trust.

A lip-smacking vegetarian buffet dinner will be cooked and served by volunteers of the trust.
