I-Day at the Taj

To celebrate Independence Day, the Taj Residency has adopted the tricolour theme and some interesting cuisines. It has also an offer called 60 At 60 where senior citizens over 60 can avail themselves of a 60 per cent discount to set the celebratory mood for the start of the 60th year of Independence.

At Café Mozaic, a lavish spread of over 100 dishes includes special counters for oysters, cheeses such as goat cheese and camembert, yummy bites such as prawn balchao, pudinawali seekh kebab and palakwali makai khum right off the oven, and desserts like motichoor rabadi, Agra ka petha and puran poli. All this is for Rs. 900, all-inclusive.

Memories of China sets the mood for authentic Chinese cuisine with squid and prawn salad in ginger dressing, crisp fried prawn in Chinese coriander sauce, pumpkin and potato with mustard sauce and stir fried asparagus with bokchoi. Desserts include date and almond rolls. The buffet lunch is priced at Rs. 750, inclusive of taxes.

Sugar 'n' Spice, Taj's patisserie, offers tri-coloured chocolates, chilli chocolate, rosemary chocolate and assorted marzipan to celebrate the occasion.
