CD release
POPULAR PERFORMER Manjula has given several performances here and in North America
Veena Doreswamy Iyengar Memorial Trust and M.E.S. Kalavedi will release a CD of Manjula Surendra on August 20. The chief guest for the function is I.M. Vittal Murthy, Secretary, Department of Kannada and Culture. N.S. Krishnamurthy, former Station Director of All India Radio, will the release the album.
Manjula Surendra has been a student of C. Krishna Murthy and D. Balakrishna.
She has been a recipient of scholarships from Karnataka Sangeetha Nritya Academy and Department of Human Resource, Government of India. Manjula has given several performances and has also toured North America.
The venue of the release is New Conference Hall, MES College, Malleswaram, 6 p.m. This will be followed by a veena recital by the artiste.
