New action hero

After a hat trick of hits (with his latest "Thimiru" turning out to be a super hit), Vishal's stock has gone up in the trade. He is considered the fastest rising young hero in Kollywood, who is concentrating on action based family movies. His latest film is "Sivapathigaram," directed by Karu Palaniappan, the man who brilliantly crafted "Parthipan Kanavu". The film has the hot and happening Malayalam heroine Mamta Mohandas making her debut in Tamil. The music is by Vidyasagar. Says Palaniappan: "It's a fast-paced movie based on a social issue. There are no villains. It is the situations that create an undercurrent of tension in the story."
