An enchanting musical evening
An up-and-coming veena player Gitanjali G. Iyer has been musically inclined at a young age.
A first prize winner in National-level competition conducted by All India Radio, her talent has been recognised by ITC Sangeet Research Academy, Mumbai.
Gitanjali,who is also a singer, has a number of recordings to her credit. She has performed for All India Radio and Doordarshan. Gitanjali has recently been awarded a scholarship by Ministry of Culture, Government of India.
She is currently training under flautist Kudamaloor Janardanan.
Alliance Française de Trivandrum in association with the Embassy of France in India will organise a veena concert by Gitanjali at Museum Auditorium,7 p.m., August 26.
