SONG OF LIFE Bijulal
He paints the different moods and shades of the Nila as he sings the lyrics by O.N.V. Kurup set to K.P. Udayabhanu's music. For Bijulal, fondly called Kannan, the CD release of his album, `Nilacku Sasneham,' was one of the most memorable days in his life.
Visually impaired Bijulal pursued his studies through Braille. Music was his first love though. "Even as an infant, he would never tire of listening to music," says his father, C.P. Harilal, an engineer at Abu Dhabi. His parents encouraged that musical flame. After learning the nuances of classical music under L.P.R. Varma, he completed his post-graduate degree in music from Government College, Chitoor, Palakkad. Biju, who is now doing his doctorate in music from University of Kerala, hopes to become a teacher and playback singer.
A great fan of K.J. Jesudas, Bijulal is a familiar face on various Malayalam channels.
