Germany beckons

There are many places in Germany worth a visit

Looking for an exotic holiday? Germany can be one of your choices. The country has plenty of not-so-well-known tourist spots, besides the oft-visited Baden-Baden, Black Forest, the cathedral city of Cologne, Bonn and Berlin.

You can check out the `romantic' route which runs between Wuerzburg and Fuessen, which culminates in the Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau castles. The famous castles, which date back to the 19th Century, were built by King Ludwig II of Bavaria and are located at the foothills of the Bavarian Alps.

A trip to the Zugsitze, Germany's highest peak, is worth undertaking as it offers a spectacular view of the Alps.

The royal city of Potsdam has several palaces and gardens built by the rulers of Brandenburg and Prussia. The 300-km German Toy Road, which runs through magnificent towns and the hilly countryside of Franconia and Thuringia, is sure to be enjoyed by kids.

Hamburg has several museum ships, with plenty of fun for adults and kids. What's more, the bars and clubs in the city are open till 5 a.m.
