Now you don't need to trawl through endless shelves to find buy your books. Oxford Bookstore has launched an interactive SMS service to update booklovers on new releases and bestsellers on their mobile phones. In an alliance with Mobile 365, the service is available through the short code 6365. Mobile users in any Indian city can be alerted by SMS any time on the new books and bestsellers available at the bookstore. All you have to do is type the keyword, send an SMS to 6365 and receive the information instantly. The service can search a database of books on 43 categories that is updated daily. You can also send your query on any book/author and post your comment or feedback.
The keywords for different queries are: OBSNF (list of three new fiction releases), OBSNNF (list of three new non-fiction releases), OBSTF (list of top three fiction titles), OBSTNF (list of top three non-fiction titles), OBSCW (choice of the week), OBSEC (editor's choice), OBSREC (Oxford recommends), OBS (address and phone numbers of stores), OBSHELP (list of keywords), OBSASK {lt}query{gt} (for your query) and OBSFB {lt}feedback{gt} (for your comments).
