History, once more

A PEEK A scene from the film, "Dayawan"

If you thought the season of films on historical figures is over, you are mistaken. Only recently, a tele-film on the life and times of Maharaja Agrasen has been completed.

Called Dayawan the film captures the life of the Maharaja who is revered by the Agarwal community. The film weaves his life story with the problems being faced by the community. The story centres on the principle propagated by the Maharaja - if you help the needy unconditionally, He will surely reward you.

Produced, written and directed by Malkiyat Thakur, the film stars Subbiraj, Upendra, Khushboo, Arun Bakshi, Goga Kapoor and Pankaj Berry. Pankaj Jaswani has composed the music.

The film will be released on the occasion of Maharaja Agrasen Jayanti later this year.
