S. J. Suryah has gone in for a `new look' for the Kalaipuli S. Thanu-produced "Thirumagan," directed by Ratnakumar, a former assistant to Bharathiraaja. Ratnakumar's story is also set in a village milieu and is entirely shot in the picturesque locales of Theni and Dindigul. Says Ratnakumar: "My film is all about human relationships, with an emphasis on love for parents. It has a powerful script and all the commercial elements." Suryah plays a farmer while Meera Jasmine, a pot maker. The film, laced with sentiment, promises to be a family entertainer. The music is by Deva. It is Suryah's third film as hero.
