In good company

Six employees of US Technology are on a high

TEAM EFFORT The six singers behind `Nin Mizhiyariyathe'

It was a proud moment for US Technology when playback singer Vidhu Pratap released an album called `Nin Mizhiyariyathe.' Sung by six employees of the IT major, the album comprises eight songs revolving around romance.

Sreehari Narayan, Sabarigiri, Nandkumar, Adarsh Chandran, Anand Venkataraman, Srikala Subramony and Anand Koushik have sung in the album. Playback singers Arundhati, Vidhu Pratap and Pratapchandran have also lent their voice for three of the songs.

In-house effort

The inhouse effort of these six singers was complemented by the multimedia team in the company, which visualised one of the songs at Abahaya, an orphanage in the city.

Although the group had to take the help of professionals for the orchestration, the veena was played by Anand Koushik, son of veena maestro Ananthapadmanabhan.

Says Sreehari Narayan, who took the initiative to produce the album.

"I had the lyrics, which had been written by Tarun Taj and Rajiv, two of my friends in college. During our inhouse competitions and other events at Techopark, I met the other singers and we decided to produce an album.

My sister Sreeja and her husband, Mathew Punnachallil, agreed to produce it."

Three of the songs have a classical touch to it, three are rocking numbers while one is a soft number sung by Vidhu Pratap.
