What does freedom mean to the youth?

Decision making power

Freedom is often mistaken to mean doing whatever one likes to do. However, to a majority of today's youth like myself, freedom means being able to decide what to do - what course to take up or where to hang out during weekends. The options are aplenty. Freedom lies in choosing what is best for oneself. This opportunity to decide for oneself, is according to me, the essence of freedom. With freedom comes responsibility, and that's where most of us fail. Without realising this we blame our parents for not giving us enough space.
