Should storytelling be part of primary school curriculum?

An inspiration

Contemporary history and biographies provide clear evidence about the significance of story telling in primary level. Grannies' stories have played a major role in shaping the personality of heroes like Abimanyu, Prahlad, Shivaji, Gandhiji, Tagore and Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. Stories appeal to the child's mind, body and spirit. It also helps the child to realise his/her aspirations and dreams.
