Say what you feel about environment protection and you could win a trip to Germany
|
The Bayer Group has announced the `Bayer Young Environmental Envoy Programme 2006' (BYEEP) to educate youth on the global efforts towards environment protection. The objectives of the programme are to identify youth leaders and provide them with the opportunity to learn about the existing technologies and practices currently available in Germany, to facilitate networking and exchange of views and experiences among youth in various countries and encourage them to start programmes to promote environmental awareness and protection in their home countries.
Students of B.E./M.E. in Chemical/Civil/Environmental Engineering and those pursuing environment-related studies in their degree course in the Science, Commerce and Arts stream can participate in the India leg of BYEEP. The participant should be able to travel to Germany from November 5-10, 2006 and should have a passport valid at least up to July 2007.
The participants will have to write an article that stimulates thought on `Environment Protection' and submit their entries by September 15. It should not exceed 1,500 words and should be on the contributions they have made in their locality/college for improving the environment along with practical examples. Short-listed candidates will be called for an interview to assess their knowledge and communication skills. Two winners will be selected on the basis of their write-up and personal interviews to attend a free educational trip to Germany.
