Cross cultural interactions

Alliance Francaise de Trivandrum's calendar of events for September has an interesting line-up of programmes. An exhibition of photographs called `Marie by Herself' by Umang Razdan Bhattacharya (September 12 to 27), a puppet show `How Wahg Fo was Saved' (September 16) and lectures on ecology (September 19) and economics (September 22) are the events scheduled for this month.

Umang Razdan Bhattacharya met theatre actor Marie Denechere in Paris and she agreed to collaborate with him on a series of photographs. There are almost no posed pictures as that was part of a deal between the actor and the photographer.

The highlight would be the puppet show by Brigette Revelli and her group of artistes from Kerala.
