Try this healthy alternative to pizza
Oriental Pizza
Ingredients:
Rice: 1 cup
Black gram: 1/2 cup
Grated cheese: 1 cube
Tomato, finely chopped: 1
Onion, finely chopped: 1
Cucumber, chopped: 1
Carrot, grated: 1
Salt, to Taste
Green chillies, to taste
Coriander leaves
Method:
Soak rice and dal for 4-5 hours. Grind to a fine paste, and let it ferment overnight. Heat a non-stick pan and put three to four big spoonfuls of the batter and spread it so that it resembles a pizza base in thickness. Cover with a lid. Once it is half-cooked, put finely chopped onion, tomato, cucumber, grated carrot and the chopped chillies on it and let it cook well on a medium flame. Finally sprinkle grated cheese on it once it is done and cut into pieces. It is a healthy alternative to a regular pizza, considered to be a junk food.
