Crafts galore

Of handlooms and handicrafts from three States


The skills of the craftspersons of Orissa, Rajasthan and Assam are on view at an exhibition-cum-sale, being jointly organised by Srushti, Tamil Nadu Handicrafts Artisans Welfare Association and All India Handlooms and Handicrafts Fair. The exhibition is on till September 17 at Srushti premises, Sudarsan Building, Ground Floor, 86, Chamiers Road, Alwarpet.

What you can look for at the exhibition are pure cotton saris, double ikkat from Sambalpur, cotton dress material, salwar kameez sets and dupattas embellished with mirror, jaal, jehara work and phulkari embroidery.The exhibition is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The handicrafts are priced between Rs. 20 and Rs. 1.5 lakh. A 10 per cent discount is being offered on all items.
