`Thalaimagan' for Deepavali!

Sarath Kumar is turning director with "Thalaimagan," his 100th film, which will be a Deepavali release. He plays an investigative journalist who fights for the common man. Nayantara plays the female lead as a reporter. Vadivelu essays the role of a press photographer. Says Sarath: "I started as a producer, then became a villain, then a character artiste and later, a mass hero. Now, I am turning director with `Thalaimagan,' an edge-of-the-seat thriller." Sarath is introducing Paul Jacob as the music director. Paul has been composing jingles for ad films.
