Mandira is at it all over again

Mandira Bedi says her warbrobe for the coming cricket season in `Extraa Innings' is a secret

THAT MILLION DOLLAR SMILE Mandira Bedi

Mandira Bedi will soon be seen on the small screen doing what she is most infamous for - hosting cricket shows.

With ICC Champions Trophy all set to start from October 7, that too for the first time in India, Mandira of noodle strap fame says, like before, she will be "very transparent" as a host in `Extraa Innings' on Sony Max.

"If I like something it shows on my face and if I don't, it shows too," she explains.

The pretty lady though refuses to let out her wardrobe secret for this season's show to the public yet.

"It is a suspense, not to be disclosed till I am seen on the screen. The only thing I can disclose is that the clothes are designed by a famous and talented fashion designer, who is my favourite too," she says.

A pronounced sari lover, Mandira adds that she prefers wearing a simple T-shirt and a pair of jeans when not shooting.

Travelling extensively across the country these days to promote "galli cricket", Mandira says this time, she is playing colony cricket with women of every age group.

"Its fun playing cricket with women in the galis. A sport which is so dominated by men can now see women's interest in it," she adds.

Only cricket

Because of the cricket season, Mandira is taking leave from her other projects for six months. "For the next six months, I am not considering any movies or other projects. It is just cricket where I am putting my focus. I love cricket and hosting this show is an extravagance," she states.

Though she has a few movies to count by now, Mandira feels audience like her more in the role of an anchor than that of an actor. Though she is often seen in commercials of all kinds, Mandira says, post World Cup, she is getting offers to do cricket-related commercials.

Some specialisation, must say!
