Oscar promotions

Aamir Khan's "Rang De Basanti" is the official Indian entry for the Oscars, while "Lage Raho Munnabhai" is an independent entry. Meanwhile, the producers of these films have started the biggest ever television campaign to publicise the entry of their films to the Oscars. During the Pooja-Gandhi Jayanthi weekend, almost all news channels had "Lage Raho Munnabhai" and the significance of Gandhism today" as their topic of discussion. All these programmes created a sympathy wave for "Lage Raho Munnabhai" with most of the people saying it deserved to be India's official entry for the Oscars. Not to be left behind, Star Gold had a special show of "Rang De Basanti" on October 2 with its promos screaming "Watch India's entry to the Oscars that keeps the spirit of patriotism and bravery alive." Now, the latest we hear is Aamir Khan and Sanjay Dutt will appear on television shows for the next few months to promote their films as Oscar favourites from India!
