Gandhigiri rules

The verdict is clear. "Lage Raho Munnabhai" has managed to do what history textbooks and politicians have failed — resurrect the image of Gandhiji so that the younger generation can know the values he stood for. The film has become a cult classic and Gandhiji has once again become a role model for all Indians. At the box-office, "Lage Raho Munnabhai" has created history and is likely to gross around Rs. 150 crore worldwide. And in Tamil Nadu, the film has created a quiet revolution by collecting a distributor share of Rs. 67 lakhs in 32 days breaking the recent record created by "Rang De Basanti" and "Krrish". In Vellore, the film has taken a share of Rs 1.45 lakh and is poised to be the first Hindi film ever to collect a distributor share of over Rs. 1 crore!
