Evoluzione displays the works of Divvya Bhasin, Meera and Muzaffar Ali

Famed jewellery designer Divvya A. Bhasin is in the city to showcase her creations at Evoluzione, Khader Nawaz Khan Road, Nungambakkam.

The Iona Collection that she has displayed today celebrates the harmony in beautiful coloured stones. She combines them to best advantage and achieves stunning effects. Iona is an example where the inherent splendour of the precious and semi-precious stones comes to the fore. She plays with contrasts and yet creates a harmonising whole to endow each piece with a classic appeal.

In this collection, traditional jadau tukris are enhnaced with different styles of stringing. Besides, playful, coloured beads of spinals, tourmalines and pearls in different hues are used.

As part of its festive collection, the store also displays the Kotwara line by Meera and Muzaffar Ali. Kotwara is the duo's efforts to revive the traditional craft of the region even while giving it a contemporary touch. The label integrates various craft skills like weaving, silk, wool, brocade and dhurrie along with embroidery in chikan, jamdani and zardozi, integrating innovative stitching techniques of tukri and daraz.

The Kotwara Khakee range incorporates a variety of silhouettes in Kalamkari prints combined with chikan work. Zardozi and chikan have been essential to Kotwara's couture with some of the finest craftsmen working in Anhalwara Palace, Kotwara and Kotwara House, Lucknow.
