Shopping for the festive season

Pick your Deepavali gifts ranging from household articles to automobiles and jewellery here

Deepavali is round the corner.

For all those shopping freaks there's some good news.

The `Diwali Shopping Fair — 2006' allows you to shop for a range of products under one roof.

Participants at the fair include financial institutions, insurance companies, time share and holiday homes. Products like home appliances, textiles, consumer durables, home security systems, housekeeping services, toys and gift articles, gardening equipment, jewellery, automobiles and healthcare will also be on display.

To add colour to the shopping carnival there will be cultural and entertainment programmes, magic shows and game shows with attractive gifts.

Other attractions

There will be a cookery competition as well as beauty tips for women.

Centurion Bank has sponsored `Talent Kids', a programme for kids with painting, singing, dance and fancy dress competitions.

UTI Bank will present `Super Family', a family game show.

Gandhipuram Lakshmi Jewellery will present Deepavali Go for Gold, a fun-filled family event.

Apart from this, there will also be stage programmes sponsored by Vesta Ice creams.

Gifts from the sponsor

The main sponsor of the event is Jones, a brand in vests, briefs, dhoties and kidswear.

GE Money is the co-sponsor.

The main sponsor will offer gifts including a coffee maker and DVD for the winners of a luck draw that will be held on all the three days of the event.

Organised by Adwaves advertising, the fair is on at Suguna Kalyana Mandapam from October 6 to 8.

Entry is free and the fair will be open from 10.30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
